About Tammy

My name is Tammy Lay and this is my second semester as a Grad Student at The University of Florida. I am pursuing my Masters of Arts in Mass Communication with a specialization in Social Media. I graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2010 with a degree in Broadcast News and Spanish. I also obtained my Certification as a English/ Spanish Medical Interpreter from UGA's Center for Continuing Education in the Fall of 2010.

This blog will be a reflection of my studies, skills, and work for my Introduction to Multimedia Communication class. I am extremely excited and eager to learn more about how I can advance myself as well as my career as a Bilingual Social Media Manager. I love being "In the Know" and I have a desire to always know what is going on in the world. I am excited about developing campaigns this semester and learning more about how I can advance my Social Media skills.

I am a country girl but you would never know that if I didn't tell you. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling the world, reading, learning, working out, shopping, eating new cuisines, sports, and NETWORKING of course! I am always eager to learn from other professionals and I am always looking for opportunities that allow me to fully utilize all of my skills and talents.
